Encaustic prints are made by pressing paper into the wax medium and pigments on a heated palette. The surface can be further altered with a torch or heat gun for additional detail work.

New Works

The oil paintings are created by blending Cold Wax Medium with oil paint, pigment sticks and powdered pigments. The medium allows textures to be embedded and layers to be built up or carved away as with encaustic painting but does not need heat to maintain its fluidity. The encaustic pieces are hot wax, with some incorporating metallic leaf.
