COMMUNITY & CO-CREATION AT IT’S BEST . . .

VEGGIES AND EGGS AND ART . . . OH MY!

Its been a full, lush, green and abundant summer here in Asheville! Spring kicked off with record breaking amounts of rain and the gardening season exploded! Ive been eating abundantly from the harvest of herbs, veggies and fresh eggs from the feathery residents here at Haw Creek Commons. Gorgeous flowers have adorned my home weekly….what a blessing and a gift it has been!

VEGGIES GALORE!
I volunteer at the HCC garden and it was a joy to get to know other volunteers, meet neighbors and all the folks who have been working full tilt and whole heartedly on this community project for so long. At last it is up and running with an official CO! The project includes shared work spaces, a retreat house, after school program rooms and sustainability projects.
See https://www.hawcreekcommons.com for more information about the project or to get involved.

BODY MIND AND SOUL:
I was blessed to facilitate a pastoral group through a Soul Collage experience in July. It was a part of the pastors annual visit to the Commons and it was enlightening to hear their community concerns, both personal and political, and to witness the creativity that flowed through them to bring wisdom and deeper connection within the group.

IT’S ALL OFFICIAL!

Best of all, now that occupancy is official, I will be moving into my own studio space on August 15th!  Stay tuned for details on a Grand Opening (November 15, 2018) that will coincide with some of my encaustic and mixed media work in the main building and the coop office space downstairs next to the gorgeous commercial kitchen. The renovation is amazing!
