The 16th ANNUAL JURIED ART EXHIBITION 2018 . . .
See my 2 Encaustics juried in to the Grace Gallery
OPENING RECEPTION: Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 6:30pm
POST NOTE: The Opening had a full house! It was wonderful to meet the juror and hear her thoughts on choosing works for the exhibit. Many emerging artists! Then off to Highland Brewing . . . What an amazing place . . . Tried the first batch of Spruce Tip Dunkel . . . Which is described as a dark German lager. I would say it’s a light version of a dark beer. The piney tartness is superb! Don’t miss it, it’s amazing!
FEEDING A COMMUNITY
Proceeds from all entry fees benefit Least of These to serve Asheville’s homeless population. Least of These Asheville is a ministry based out of Montreat College. They serve breakfast to the homeless community every Saturday morning. You can come volunteer on a Saturday morning and we also give out clothing, tents, backpacks, sleeping bags, and blankets which you can donate. For more information: leastoftheseasheville.com
The Gallery at Grace Centre uniquely features the work of artists in western North Carolina. The Gallery, which is owned and supported by Grace Mills River, is designed to help establish the work of new and emerging artists.
Displaying art through more than 1,000 square feet of beautifully lit wall space, Grace Mills River’s vision and desire is to build relationships with artists in the community by recognizing and encouraging the essential role art plays in our unique culture.
We care deeply about the art and the artist. For more than a decade, Grace Mills River has displayed the work of hundreds of local artists across a wide range of media. In addition to solo and group shows, we also exhibit an annual fine art juried show.
