THE RHYTHM OF OUR HEART REFLECTS OUR INNER WORLD
As you bring your physical, mental and emotional systems into coherent alignment, you begin to experience increased access to your heart’s intuitive guidance. A great resource for understanding more about the science of this is HeartMath® Technology. It is an innovative approach to improving emotional well being by showing you how to learn to change your heart rhythm pattern and create physiological coherence; a scientifically measurable state characterized by an increased order and harmony in our mind, emotions and body.
COHERENCE BRINGS US INTO A STATE OF UNITY
Science now understands that the heart is what is guiding our bodies far more than our brain. And further research has shown that we all have the natural capacity and inborn tools as a human, to activate our conscious intention and to awaken our PFC or prefrontal cortex, rather than our Primitive Brain, which triggers the Fight/Flight/Freeze response.
One example of this, that I have discovered is Source Code Meditation. The SCM process teaches you how to activate Higher Brain potential and introduce meditation while your Higher Brain is prepped to receive it. Practices such as this, bring the whole body into alignment. We know that the heart generates the most electrical energy in our body and that our electrical flow influences everything around us. We literally become a magnet that draws to us what we are intending from within!
BRING THE INSIDE OUT
With information overload these days, there can be so much internal processing going on, that it feels like there is no space left to be in touch with that deep sense of peace we know we truly are. A short and simple and practice I have learned from a great coach at Thrive! Academy, Nathan McTague, is called NOTICE, NAME, TOUCH
First, identify 2-3 emotions you are feeling right now. At a loss for words? There are dozens of emotion charts, to refer to….just Google it!
Second, from the chart or from your heart, name them. You can state them out loud or write them down.
Finally, literally embrace your self and focus on your breath. I like to do what I learned from receiving EMDR sessions as the Butterfly Hug for kids…and lets face it, when you are feeling emotional overwhelm, you are ultimately connecting with a deep primal part of yourself or what some call the Inner Child, so this gets right to the energetic source! You simply cross your arms placing your hands on your shoulders and alternately tap back and forth. After a few rounds, switch your arm cross and tap again.
Its amazing how something so simple can have such a powerful impact on the body, mind and soul! You are electrically balancing the right and left brain with the arm cross, tapping and/or rocking to sooth the primitive brain out of fight, flight or freeze and activating dopamine and oxytocin, so that your body adjusts its own alchemy. LOVE IN ACTION: A Conversation with Deepak Chopra
I watched an interview on Marianne Williamson’s Podcast last night. It really touched on some powerful ideas and feelings that some of our human potential giants are exploring. Even if I don’t agree with them 100%, I feel it illustrated how we are all human and that even some of the most successful figures in the field are sensing the impact of this global change we are experiencing.
I was left with a personal question after sensing Deepak’s frustration and disappointment about the change that does not seem to be happening in the world, knowing that so many of our actions are deeply destructive to life itself. What would the world be like if many of us had not taken a stand for Sacred Activism? To me this is where the rubber meets the road.
The question helps me to frame my sense of the bigger picture with a little less intensity. It supports me to relax and allow, as Deepak shared about his experience of surrender. It helps me to remember that shining one’s love and light matters and that this Divine and Sacred scenario we are collectively a part of creating, is unfolding in perfect order. Ultimately we are each responsible for how we act and feel….and so does everything around us. It is humbling to realize how little we really know about the Greater Truth of this cosmic mystery we reside in, other than something much greater than we can image must be orchestrating it all.
So ask yourself: What are YOU feeding this field of vast cosmic information in which we reside? Who are we, and why are you here now, at this time and this place? How do you see yourself aligning with global coherence knowing that what we feed the field matters as we navigate a New Planetary Consciousness.
